Test-proven to protect engine against particles as small as 2.8 microns, the Kool Blue Filter incorporates high-quality surgical cotton gauze, sandwiched between layers of galvanized steel wire mesh. Blue epoxy coating on the mesh ensures the Kool Blue will always look as good as it performs. Oil on the gauze acts as a barrier to stop even microscopic particles from entering engine. Dirt build-up actually becomes a part of the filter media to further increase filtration and extend filter's life. A used filter will outperform conventional new paper and foam filters! Completely washable and reuseable. Just a side note... Kool Blue is manufactured by by K&N's European Manufacturer.
